At This Moment Nothing Else Matters...
Completely immerse yourself in some of the most outstanding Salmon, Steelhead
and Trout fishing in California and the West Coast. On our one-day trips you’ll
wind down one of several rivers, large and small, seeking out wily wild Trout sipping
dries on a small stream; swinging flies or nymphing for spunky Steelies; or swinging
with sinking lines for California’s noble King Salmon.
River Float Trips
Float trips are available in state-of-the-art McKenzie River Drift boats on the
Feather River, Yuba River, Truckee River, American River, and the Lower Sacramento
River. River trips are personally and professionally guided by California licensed
and bonded guides. Courtesy and teaching of techniques are paramount in importance
to these hand selected guides. And as a bonus, they know their waters like the backs
of their hands. Lunch and drinks provided on full day trips. Personal preferences
for diet and drinks (non-alcoholic), are accommodated.
Lake Float Trips
Fish out of a state-of-the-art fly fishing platform on Martis Creek Reservoir, Davis
Lake, Eagle Lake or other high quality waters in the Sierra for trophies, or just
for the joy of catching a lot of fish! By prior arrangement, we will even assist
you in learning to fish out of a float tube or pontoon boat if you’d like (subject
to availability). Trips are booked with local guides who know the waters, certified
by Sierra Fly Fishers and backed by our no nonsense guarantee.
Lake trips are personal and professionally guided by California licensed and bonded
guides. Courtesy and teaching of techniques are paramount in importance to these
hand selected guides. And as a bonus, they are specialists in lakes and can teach
how to read and fish a lake. Lunch and drinks provided on full day trips also.
Walk-In Trips
Walk-in and hike-in trips are available to High Sierra Lakes, Yuba, Truckee, American,
and Feather Rivers, to name a few. Call us about a river you want to have a licensed
local guide take you fishing, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you or refer
you to someone we know through our guide network. Lunch and drinks provided on full
day trips.
Salmon, Steelhead, Trout, Striped Bass, Largemouth Classes and Clinics
Sometimes you want to get information on new techniques, or just learn the right
ways to fish for a specific species. That’s why we offer clinics on-stream throughout
the year.
Price List
Drift Boat Float Trip (8-9 hrs.) $400
Half Day Float (4-5 hours) $300
Walk-in Trip (full day – 10 hrs.) $300
Lake Trips – Boat/tube (full day) $350
All trips are two-persons unless otherwise specified. Additional persons are $200
each, maximum of 3 per trip. Additional persons over 3 require a new boat and guide.

Yuba River
Upper American/ Lower American River
Half Day trips will meet at the Shop one hour before the trip start time and will
be back approximately one hour after (e.g. 8-1 trip meets at shop at 7AM, back at
2).
Payment
A deposit of 50% of the trip price is required when making the reservation.
Our cancellation policy:
Deposit required is 50% of trip price. The balance is due the day of the trip. Cancellations
before 48 hrs. require 1/2 deposit fee; cancellations after 48 hours prior to the
start of the trip require forfeit of deposit.
SEASONAL FISHING OPPORTUNITIES
Fishing opportunities abound in Northern California. We have listed some general
seasons that you may have a good fishing experience for the species listed. As there
is some overlap you may have the difficult choice to determine what you want to
fish for first. What a hard thing to do!
